Converge brings together unconventional actors to make meaningful change.

Canadians deserve accessible, affordable, and quality mental health care. We bring people together to make that happen.

What is the coalition?

We’re a coalition of people you don’t usually see in the same room, all working together to transform Canada’s mental health systems.

The Converge Mental Health Coalition brings together leaders from across Canada’s mental health system and beyond, including mental health organizations, philanthropy, policymakers, aligned networks, the healthcare sector, researchers, Indigenous communities, people with lived and living expertise, and private sector and community organizations.

Our approach to coalition building:

  • We support and amplify the work of others
  • We don’t need to agree on everything to work toward change together
  • We experiment, innovate, and embrace failure
  • We recognize our members’ time is valuable, so we use it wisely
  • We practice clarity and transparency, not gatekeeping
  • We believe relationships are infrastructure

What does it mean to be a member?

Converge creates chances to learn from people outside of your normal circles, build partnerships outside of the ‘usual suspects’, and put weight behind game-changing ideas from across Canada. Think tailored learning opportunities focused on systems change, events that will shift how you approach your work, and thoughtful introductions to your future collaborators.

Even better? Coalition membership is free.

We’re currently shaping what coalition membership looks like long-term. Watch this space in Fall 2026 for more details. In the meantime, we’re still welcoming new members. Use the form at the bottom of this page to connect with our team and learn more about becoming a member.

Researchers

If you’re leading research on mental health and systems change, we want your expertise (and data!) informing this work.

Individuals
